  Just like to repeat:

  Part of my purpose in starting this thread was to explore my feeling that we can't really say with definity what is Evil absolutly in every case, unless we have absolute knowledge.

  Example:
  Man guns down little old lady in the mall. We could say that was evil based on our limited knowledge.
  Then more facts come to light and we find that the little old lady was part of a terrorist group and she had a atomic bomb in her suit case and the man that gunned her down was a government agent who saved every one in the mall and surrounding area.
  We can keep adding more facts to this senerio and each time change it from evil to good and back again.

  when jesus was on earth the devil approached him quoting scripture in order to tempt and entrap him.

  it is no wonder then that the apostate angel would be behind the effort to use the scriptures against jehovahs people today in order to mislead them.

  one of the most cunning and effective uses of scripture against us by satans agents is the charge that we are false prophets.

  the watchtower society dates noah's flood to 2370 b.c.e.

  they do this by following bible chronology quite closely, counting backwards from 607 b.c.e., their date for babylon's destruction of jerusalem.

  however, as we know, the society's date for that event is in error.

  While I don't think the Bible says anything one way or the other about MJ.
  My thoughts are:
  It smells soooo nice, it couldn't have taken too long to discover its medicinal properties.
  If I was early man and I found it in the woods I would have eaten it.

  " it was and still is a classic.

  the song is full of symbolism and even to this day almost thirty years after the song was first introduced, mcclean will not reveal the real meanings behind much of that symbolism.. in that song, he sings about "the day the music died.

  I'm listening right now to American pie.
  And I'm sure the day the music the music died is refurring to the death of Buddy Holly,.. and the music that came out of him died.
  And he had to deliver the newspaper that had the front page news of his death.
  And then he mentions things that transpired in the ten years after that day, that Buddy had a hand in bringing about.
  He must have been very depressed about his death.

  I'm sorry I just read this again this morning:

  With regards to all your other "possibilities" about how evil is determined, you again did not paste my original statement and refute it. You merely gave a list of your own "other possibilities", again hoping to divert readers from my real argument, which was:

  : I stated that good and evil (right and wrong) is either defined by God or it isn't. If you can come up with any other options, you are either an incredible genius, or are taking serious medication!

  Funky asked me to give other possiblities so I did. I didn't know it is proper dicussion proceedure to paste your original statement which we all knew.
  Well anyway it's right up top here.

  So you are putting every thing under your strict ARBRITRARY control to make your argument work. Only two choices like it or not, it my way or the freeway sound kinda arbitrary don't it.
  Your ad hominem just clouds this issue.
  If something is true it doesn't need such tight controls artificially applied to be true.
  Your black and white logic doesn't befit a person who came out of mind control.
